Biography

Originally from New York City, Dr. Mercedes Quintos-Gomez now resides in Northern Virginia. Dr. Quintos-Gomez is board certified in family medicine and practices at Annandale Family Medicine, where she specializes in annual physicals; acute and urgent care; cardiac evaluations; disease management; preventive health; health maintenance; adolescent medicine; women’s health and emotional health; depression; and anxiety.

Dr. Quintos-Gomez attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland for her undergraduate education. In 1985 she ventured out of the states to pursue her Doctorate of Medicine at Saint Louis University College of Medicine in Baguio City, Philippines. She later returned in July of 1991 to complete her residency at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Quintos-Gomez began as a Family Practice staff physician at Skyline Center Group Health Association in East Falls Church before becoming a Staff Physician at NOVA Urgent Care in Sterling, Virginia. In 1994 she joined fellow family physician Dr. Edward Friedler at Annandale Family Medicine.
