Newborns & Infants

In the office, we perform newborn and infant examinations, immunizations and treat all acute illnesses and chronic illnesses. When consultation with a specialist is appropriate we do not hesitate to initiate the referral.

Children

In the office, we perform well child, school, sport camp physicals. We administer immunizations, treat all acute illnesses and chronic illnesses. When consultation with a specialist is appropriate we do not hesitate to initiate the referral.

General

General physical examinations and preoperative examinations, updating immunizations, evaluating and treating acute illness and symptoms and management of chronic illnesses and conditions is a better overview than trying to list everything we see and do!  We encourage our patients to have blood tests prior to office visits which makes the consultation more satisfying for both patient and clinician. When consultation with a specialist is appropriate we do not hesitate to initiate the referral.

Women's Health

General physical examinations with breast and pelvic examinations (and PAP tests), and management of conditions unique to women are provided by all our clinicians! It is most important you are comfortable with the clinician performing your exam. When consultation with a specialist is appropriate we do not hesitate to initiate the referral.

Procedures

With the ready availability of specialists in our community, we limit the procedures to those we perform frequently. Cardiograms (EKG), Lung function tests (Spirometry), opening abscess or hemorrhoids for immediate relief of pain and repairing lacerations (suturing) are performed in our office.

  • Berkeley Heart Laboratory. Advanced cholesterol and genetics testing and counseling services on diet. We draw the blood, ship and discuss results. http://www.bhlinc.com
  • CardioRisk Laboratories. A technician comes to our office with equipment to measure artery wall thickness to detect earliest signs of plaque and to determine if treatment is effective in stopping or reversing the plaque process.
